Jennifer Lopez to Rake In $12 Million for One Year on 'Idol'

Even though no one from Fox has confirmed it, if you asked pretty much anyone in America if Jennifer Lopez is a new "American Idol" judge, you would get a prominent "No Duh".

If it's true (DUH IT IS!), Lopez will be making a nice $12 million for the gig. Also, like Ellen DeGeneres did last year, Lopez has signed on for just one season.
So where does that rank her compared to other judges?

Well, Paula will be happy to know that it's less than the $15 million a year paycheck she was denied by Idol bosses last year. It also works out to less than the $45 million that host Ryan Seacrest signed to take home over three years. J.Lo's eight-figure pay looks like mere pocket change compared to what Simon Cowell, who she's supposedly replacing, was earning for his contributions to the show; his last season alone earned him an amazing $45 million.

Fox  better put a statement together, and quick. The next audition round, presumably with the locked-in judges panel, is scheduled to begin filming in just two weeks' time.

Oh and Jenny, welcome to the block.
