Haley Reinhart, Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, and Kris Allen All Have New Albums Out!

New albums galore! Plenty of Idol alums have been releasing albums this year, including Carrie Underwood; season 8 winner, Kris Allen; Kris' runner-up, Adam Lambert; and season 10 fan favorite, Haley Reinhart. All of their albums have been selling well, with Carrie and Adam's each having a run at the top of the Billboard chart, Kris' album expected to start in the top 20, while Haley has a chance of squeaking in a top 10 Billboard debut. All of the albums spent quite a while in the iTunes top 10, with Carrie and Adam's peaking at #1, Haley's at #4, and Kris' around #5. Also, all of the albums have been doing great review-wise. Carrie, Adam, and Kris' albums all have 4.5/5 stars on iTunes while Haley's has 5/5 stars.

Personally, my favorite would have to be Haley's debut album, Listen Up!. However, I love Carrie's Blown Away and Adam's Trespassing. Sadly, I have not had a chance to listen to Kris' Thank You Camellia yet, but I'm sure I'll love it.

So, Idolheads, which album is your favorite? Also, which of the albums should we do a review for? All of them? None of them? Sound off in the comments!

And if you haven't been able to get them yet, be sure to! Here are links to their albums on iTunes:
Haley Reinhart, Listen Up!
Carrie Underwood, Blown Away
Adam Lambert, Trespassing
Kris Allen, Thank You Camellia

How This Season WILL End

This is the first of a 2 part post; I will say how the season will end, and how it should end. So, let's begin!

We're still in the boring beginning of the live shows where there aren't any shocking eliminations, only well, they had to go's. So, now that Jeremy is gone, only Jermaine and DeAndre to go home before we get to the fun eliminations.

Sadly, I think that either Elise and Kelly Clarkson Erika will get eliminated early, and (hopefully) Heejun will be joining them. After that, get ready to see early favorite Shannon (unless she does as bad as last week sooner) and no-screen-time Joshua Ledet sent packing. Don't get me wrong, I love both of them, but Shannon's off-key singing will have to stop this week and I think that Joshua just reminds America a little bit too much of the 2011 disaster that was Jacob Lusk.

After that, it will become apparent that Jessica and Hollie cannot both be there, so I think that the much more talented but not nearly as praised Hollie will have to leave the Idol stage. Fourth place will be between Skylar and Colton, but Skylar will just squeak by and finish third, while teenage girls all over the world will be crying into their Justin Bieber pillowcases, mourning the loss of Colton Dixon on their TV's. The finale will be between Phillip² and Jessica Sanchez. Obviously, Phillip will win because a female is never allowed to win this show again.

There you have it, my 2012 Idol predictions! Be looking out for part 2: How This Season Should End

UPDATED: Jennifer Hudson Rushed to Hospital

Bad news, season 3 favorite Jennifer Hudson was rushed to the hospital Friday morning for severe abdominal pains. The worst part is, her rapid weight loss may be to blame. Some reports are stating that she has lost too much weight too quickly, causing her to experience extreme pain. Also, she has been doing many performances, writing a memoir about her weight-loss, raising her son, and working on two films. Surely that kind of a schedule can't make you feel great.

What do you think? Is Jennifer's weight loss to blame, or do you think that she's simply ill? Either way, please be praying for Jennifer and her family.

UPDATE: It is now being reported that she is recovering from a bad case of food poisoning.

Haley Reinhart's Dreams Ruined for Third Time In One Week... All Thanks to America and Bono

We promised this wouldn't be a Haley fan site, but this is actual news, we swear. First, Haley was tragically cut right before her chance to win the Idol crown, then she was teased with the idea of taking Lauren's place and performing on the finale against Scotty, but at the last minute was told she wasn't needed. And at last week's finale, she prepared to premiere her new single, only to be told that an old "star" would be performing to promote one of the most criticized Broadway plays in recent memory.

According to Haley “That was going to happen,” (perform the song) she told The Hollywood Reporter about debuting the single on the finale. “And then Bono came in and it was taken away.”

There’s no word on whether we’ll get to hear that original song, or whether she’ll release a single. Haley says that single will “Probably not (be released) now, but it was an option when I was let go. They had said that it was going to happen, and like everything else in this business, it’s all subject to change. I was excited about it, but then again, I think I’d like to wait and come up with something that’s very me. Everything happens for a reason, so it’s all good.”

Who will join us in boycotting Bono and his failing play? He has just gone in and set back Haley's career for possibly months, but he doesn't care since he got to make some cash.

Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery Sign Record Deals UPDATED

Yesterday, second place finisher Lauren Alaina and season 10 winner Scotty McCreery both signed to Mercury Nashville! We love this as we live in Nashville, though it means we might have to see more of Scotty, which is never good. Sadly, Haley hasn't gotten a record deal yet, but we're sure that this will happen very soon as she has said that the deal has been offered, but that the week leading up to the finale didn't leave enough time to sign the contract.

Mercury Nashville announced the news by doing a ful-page ad in Billboard Country welcoming Scotty and Lauren to the "Mercury Nashville family". Be sure to check back for more information on record deals for this year's contestants.
